GDS Development Management (GDSNY) has completed construction of the new Class A boutique office building at the corner of 7th Avenue and 28th Street, in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan. The property is directly adjacent to the famous Fashion Institute of Technology, which has seen alumni like Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, and film director Joel Schumacher.
The 11-story class A boutique office tower features 100,000sf of leasable office space, with 13’ floor-to-floor heights, 11’ high glazing and state-of-the-art mechanical systems. The project was designed in collaboration with Skidmore Owings & Merrill (SOM) and was completed in 2023. The building will be LEED Gold certified and features CO2 monitoring, natural lighting, and landscaped outdoor terraces for tenants. Other building amenities will include a 24 hour concierge, bike facility and a restaurant.
