Michael Kirchmann is the CEO and Co-Founder of GDSNY, an international real estate firm headquartered in New York City. GDSNY is an innovative, design-led practice whose interests comprise real estate development, asset management, architecture, design, brand communications, and art.

Michael founded GDSNY after working for Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) for eleven years, where he was a Director in the New York office. He has worked on projects across the United States, Europe, the Middle East, India, Korea, the United Kingdom, China, and Africa. He has received recognition for his extensive work around the globe that includes large-scale urban design masterplans, office towers, residential developments, airports, museums, art installations, and brand communications across a broad range of development typologies.

He has 30 years of diversified real estate experience and has worked on projects with a number of industry leaders including Shell, Oracle, Pfizer, JP Morgan, Four Seasons, Hilton Hotels, Ritz Carlton, ING Real Estate, HRO, Siemans, Guggenheim, Marriot Group, Bouygues, European Central Bank, and Brookfield Properties. He has completed over 40 projects worldwide totaling around 7 million sf.

Michael has delivered over $2.5BN of commercial and residential buildings in New York City, and designed projects that delivered over 4,500 affordable residential units in NYC.
