Andrew Reyniak, AIA, is a Senior Associate Director and has practiced architecture in New York City for 30 years. Andrew has completed projects in a broad range of typologies, including residential, commercial, mixed-use, institutional, adaptive reuse, gallery and art studio, exhibit design, and interiors, both regional and international. Andrew brings this breadth of experience to GDSNY where the scope of his oversight includes team coordination for a 155,000 sf commercial project; agency coordination for an adaptive reuse effort to generate affordable housing; and work to benefit NYCHA campuses.
In addition to private and development projects, Andrew has worked with firms including Vitra, Herman Miller, Asics/Tiger, Vitsoe, Museum of Modern Art, Cushman Wakefield, and CBRE.
Andrew graduated from Yale and holds an Master’s in Architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. In New York he has worked with Selldorf Architects, Tsao & McKown, and Peter Gluck & Partners; internationally he has worked with Behnisch & Partner in Stuttgart, Vasconi Architecte in Paris, and Peter Rose in Montreal. Andrew regularly participates as a design critic at schools including Columbia GSAPP, Cornell, Harvard, Cooper Union, USC, and RPI. An NCARB certificate holder, Andrew’s current registrations include New York, New Jersey, and Maine.
