New York, NY – GDS Development Management (GDSNY) and Corem of Sweden announced today that they have signed a full floor lease at 28&7 with a private commercial real estate investment manager with approximately $1 billion of assets under management. The tenant is expected to assume occupancy during the summer of 2022.
28&7 is a 12-story, class-A office building at the corner of 28th Street and 7th Avenue in the Penn District, one of New York City’s most dynamic neighborhoods, which has attracted major tenants like Amazon, Apple and Facebook. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the building features a modern grid of hand-crafted black terracotta, large triple-glazed windows, and panoramic views of the city. A generous wrap-around terrace at the top level will provide the tenant a unique opportunity to connect to the urban surroundings. The building will be LEED-Gold certified and offers the very latest in touchless technology and air quality.
“We are very pleased to announce the full-floor lease at 28&7. We continue to see a strong recovery for new premium office buildings in New York,” says Jens Andersson, Corem’s Head of Finance and US Operations.
“Quality is king in this market”, says Paul Amrich of CBRE. “28&7 is beautifully designed and impeccably built and sets a new high standard in the New York boutique office market. The tenant clearly values the quality and special opportunity that 28&7 offers its employees and guests.”
GDSNY and Corem were represented by Paul Amrich and Neil King of CBRE. Daniel Levine of Newmark represented the tenant.
